The Simple Hug

The Simple Hug
Hugs,
They warm,
They love,
They let us know its ok.
Making the world just go away,
And letting pain subside.

Some are loving,
Like when two lovers woo.
Others be of comfort,
To quell the tears of sorrow,
That run down our faces.
Yet some they speak of care,
Such as when two good friends embrace.

Hugs they speak of emotion,
For rarely are they given,
Without it in some form.
Yet no matter what they be,
Or why that they are given.
All are comforted from the simple action,
Of embrace and the human touch.

So hug the ones you love,
Hug the ones you don’t.
Embrace your friends,
Embrace your colleagues,
And the sad man that you know.
For all do feel better,
With the simple hug.
