I'm Just Fine

I'm Just Fine
I’m just fine,
He does reply,
Unwittingly,
Guiltily glancing away.
The lie it does scribe,
Itself again,
All over his guilty face.

The webs of deceit,
They hurt him dear,
From lying to his friends.
He knows that soon,
He shall pay,
For lying to his friends.
They fake a smile,
A remark well,
Worry in their eyes.
For they can read,
Between the lines,
And see that he is hurting.
For mouth may tell the lie,
But eyes,
They never lie.

For it is so,
Does he want to,
Speak of troubles and problems.
To talk of trails and tribulations,
That he feels he now faces.
About how trapped he does feel,
Inside his life,
Like an animals in a trap.
About his thoughts and feelings,
That he does often feel.
But he does know of the pains,
That they shall all soon feel,
If they only knew the truth.

So he fakes a smile,
A passing wave,
And replies,
I’m just fine.
