The Missing Piece
For all my life,
I have searched,
For what I feel is missing.
I know not who,
I know not what,
Or where, when or how.
But all I know,
Is that it’s gone.
Feeling like a jigsaw,
That lacks the final piece.
As a small child,
As a small child,
I felt complete,
I was a normal kid.
Then one day,
Then one day,
I was no more,
And never felt the same.
Now I have searched,
Now I have searched,
Far and wide,
To find the missing piece.
To find the missing piece.
And yet it still evade me,
From making me feel whole.
And now I start to wonder,
If I shall ever be one again.
