Ambivalence

Ambivalence
I am to the light,
I am to the dark.
I am to the day,
I am to the night.
To the sun,
And to the snow.
In good,
And evil.
Ambivalent.
And that is all I am.

I be ambivalent to living,
Undecided upon death.
Unable to make a decision,
And thus caught in a half world.
Neither living,
Nor dead.
But existing,
And not existing.
If such a thing is possible.

With emotions that are there,
But absent just as much.
I am ambivalent to them all them,
And not to them as well.
For I love the emotion,
That all of us do feel.
But I fear them nonetheless,
And flee from them with vigour.
